Which literally means the science of life (Ayur = Life, Veda = Science), ayurveda is an ancient medical science which was developed in India thousands of years ago. Yoga and meditation which form a part of Ayurveda can be learned and practiced at Azure Tides Marari. The breathing exercises and the different postures help to give relaxation to the mind and the soul.

Azure Tides Marari Ayurveda Center in a Resort Ambiance offers a number of Ayurveda Panchakarma and Rasayana Packages for its customers. All the treatments are prescribed by expert Ayurvedic doctors at the hospital and carried out under proper supervision.

Every package includes accommodation, Ayurveda treatment and full board Ayurvedic vegetarian food. Several complimentary services such as daily Yoga classes, boat tours in the backwaters etc. are offered for all packages.

Ayurveda prescribes many treatments for various medical conditions such as rheumatism, Paralysis respiratory problems, blood pressure, cholesterol etc. This system of medicine is special in that it makes use of only natural ingredients and as a result are totally harmless and at the same time highly curative. Some of the treatments offered at Azure Tides Marari Ayurveda Center are as follows.

This Treatment includes body massage with hand and foot by two masseurs with medicated oil and cream, internal rejuvenative medicines and medicated steam bath. This therapy is for 90 minutes to 2 hours per day for 7 to 14 days. This therapy is to rejuvenate the mind , body and soul, to tone up skin, to strengthen all systems so as to achieve ideal health and longevity.

The slimming programme at Somatheeram includes medicated herbal powder massage and herbal oil massage. Adhering to the specific diet prescribed during the treatment forms one of the essential parts of the programme. Other treatment procedures include medicated steam bath, intake of herbal juices, herbal tea etc. 21 and 28 nights packages are available for this programme.
